Currently work as contract Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) in Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (http://samagra.mhrd.gov.in/), for coordinating inclusive education in various Government schools from December 2016 onwards.
Duties
• Curriculum modification to meet the individual needs of students from KG to 12, covering more than 300 CWSN.
• Creating Individual Education Plans (IEP) for students based on observing and assessing their abilities.
• Co-operating and co-coordinating with the subject staff, parents, teaching assistants and learning support assistants.
• Liaising with other professionals, such as social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists.
• Ensuring a high quality learning environment within the SEND area.
• Organizing learning outside the classroom in activities such as community visits, school outings or sporting events.
• Providing counselling to parents of children with special needs.

Professional Registration from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)
The Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI) was set up as a registered society in 1986.On September,1992 the RCI Act was enacted by Parliament and it became a Statutory Body on 22 June 1993.The Act was amended by Paliament in 2000 to make it more broadbased.The mandate given to RCI is to regulate and monitor services given to persons with disability,to standardise syllabi and to maintain a Central Rehabilitation Register of all qualified professionals and personnel working in the field of Rehabilitation and Special Education.The Act also prescribes punitive action against unqualified persons delivering services to persons with disability.
